What is the difference between TripIt and TripCase?

Can I transfer existing trips from TripCase to TripIt?

Yes! Exclusively for TripIt Pro users, we’ve made it easy to transfer trip records from TripCase to TripIt. See below to learn how.

1. Export your data from TripCase before April 30, 2025:

Sign in to your TripCase account through the website (note: exporting is not available on the mobile app)
Click on your name in the upper right corner
Select Profile from the list
Scroll down the page to Export Your Data
Select and download the JSON file

2. Once you have created a TripIt Pro account, simply forward the exported JSON file to support@tripit.com, and we’ll add the trips to your account. You’ll receive a confirmation once the process is complete.

*Please note, it may take a few weeks until all past trip plans are fully imported.

For users who sign up for a TripIt Free account, you can download PDFs of your plans by using the Print Itinerary option within TripCase. You can then forward your PDFs to plans@tripit.com.

All users can add future trips to TripIt by forwarding confirmation emails to plans@tripit.com, or by setting up Inbox Sync, which automatically adds plans from your inbox for you. You can learn more about Inbox Sync here.

Can I convert my TripCase subscription to a TripIt Pro subscription?

No. However, you can upgrade to TripIt Pro for 90 days free here*. Or if your company uses SAP Concur, you might get TripIt Pro for free. Our help page has more details.

Why doesn’t TripIt offer certain TripCase features?

We are always looking to enhance TripIt with new features, and we are constantly working behind-the-scenes to bring our users new enhancements each year. Please contact our support team to let us know what features you’d like to see.
